The Museum would like to invite the society to make an effort to increase the number of Friends of the Museum.

BECOME A FRIEND OR GIFT A FRIENDSHIP FOR 2010

We believe in the capacity of art to transform sensibility, and in the Museum as an instrument for ongoing education. This has always been our goal, and we are aware that only by uniting all our efforts will it be possible to keep moving forward.

During this economic crisis, in which our museums are finding it harder to plan ahead, we need to call for members of the society we serve to understand our situation.

All contributions will be used to ensure the continuation of research, exhibitions and educational activities.

Below you will find the benefits of being friend of the Museum, and the registration form.

FRIENDS OF THE MUSEUM

For the city of Segovia the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art represents a window onto contemporary art and culture.

Alongside the Permanent Collection which was donated by Esteban Vicente himself, the Museum organizes temporary exhibitions of other artists and trends. In addition it arranges conference cycles, promotes research and development projects with special attention to programs which introduce youngsters to art. Located at the heart of Segovia’s old town, the Museum includes a chapel which now serves as an auditorium, a beautiful garden and a library which specializes in contemporary art.

A project of this nature obviously needs the support of the society it serves. Like other institutions of this kind, we therefore find that we need to invite individuals and companies to contribute towards its development.

Through the Friends of the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art we would like to invite lovers of art and culture to join our adventure. These words come therefore not only to ask for your material help, but also to express our desire that the Museum should become a place where people can enjoy themselves, learn and share; a place which affords a home to harmony and utopia. It is only through a sum of wills, of yours and ours, that this will be possible.
