During this time, the artist created collages that are very similar to his oils. He was in command of all the techniques used in his compositions – coloured paper, charcoal, gouache and pastels. He treated his collages as paintings. The paper was torn and the forms arranged on the surface as if they were oils. To eliminate the static impression of the collage, Vicente introduced different textures and inks, scraping the surface, lifting some layers and juxtaposing others. These works no longer show the razzle dazzle of previous periods, all is in order. The influence of minimalism, of New York architecture, can now be perceived, as in his drawings of this same period.
